Mother's Day was spent perfectly; at the Baptism of our sweet Goddaughter, Marianna Rose!
She cried the entire way through until the holy water was liberally drenched upon her and then instantly fell asleep and slept for about three hours! LOL
She was wearing an 'heirloom' robe, under the skirts, in a kind of loop sewn into the fabric were the names and dates of Baptism of her eight brothers and sisters! It was done in lovely embroidery and very sweet.
We had cakes and tea afterwards and it was a special day. here goes with trying to attach a photo! (just calling Ben!LOL)
Much love,
Amanda

Oh how lovely she is and what a beautiful name too!
I agree ... the names embroidered into the gown is such a wonderful idea!
Fantastic way to spend Mother's Day ... being reminded of the true beauty and joy of motherhood.

I held her most of the afternoon (she was 9lbs10oz at birth!) and when I handed her back to Mam I wasn't sure I was going to be able to move my elbows but it was fine! LOL phew...then I came home and drank lots of Mother's day wine! LOL

Hi Amanda,
Oh my, she is beautiful and what a lovely name. She is blessed to have a Godmother like you to guide her through life, and to turn to when needed, and with you at her side she can't go wrong.
love,

Oh Amanda what a real beauty she is, absolutely adorable. You must feel so proud to be her Godmother. Love the idea of the robe with the family names embroidered, a real heirloom to treasure. Little girls are so special (well so are the boys, but you know what I mean?!) Thank you for posting such a lovely photo, Lyn x

Hi amanda, what a beautiful photo, Marianna Rose is so adorable!!! Hope your arms have recovered!!! It all sounds so lovely!! I hope she knows she is a very lucky lttle girl to have you and Mark as her Godparents. Her mummy and daddy must be so proud of her, and ofcourse of all of their lovely children x Not too many families with more than 2 or 3 children now, its lovely to see that people still want to have large families. I would have loved more, but it took ages for Georgia after Leanne, (13 years) so was getting older by then lol!!! BARBARA
